Málaga, Spain

Stealing from Wikipedia: Málaga is a port city on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its high-rise hotels and resorts jutting up from yellow-sand beaches. Looming over that modern skyline are the city’s two massive hilltop citadels, the Alcazaba and ruined Gibralfaro, remnants of Moorish rule. The city's soaring Renaissance cathedral is nicknamed La Manquita ("one-armed lady") because one of its towers was curiously left unbuilt.

Well, I'd go to Málaga again in a heartbeat. What a great introduction to the Costa del Sol! No wonder it's a popular cruise ship destination. On our day here, there were five ships in the harbor.

Downtown is full of shops, restaurants, small streets, bright flowers, laundry hanging from balconies, etc.

Beaucoup cathedrals

Beaucoup Serrano ham places. This guy gave us samples.

This guy wanted to look like he's working at the fortress.

"Rockberto" here looks exactly like our friend Bruce Waller. Allen was sure to share this photo with the Chapel Hill gang.

TTFN, Málaga.

Dress-up night

Yup, snow-capped mountains on the southern coast of Spain.
