Quick peek at Lisbon

Our second cruise stop was Lisbon. Since we had so little time and will be back at the end of our Iberian trip, we chose to take a bus tour to get oriented.

This huge Jesus is supposed to be looking at his counterpart atop that mountain in Rio de Janiero.

Pretty royal plazas, palaces, monuments to Portuguese explorers.

Bullfighting arenas are also used for concerts. This one was about to host Marilyn Manson.

I’ve been thinking of ideas for how to make our balcony more private.

Also on our bus were a couple of St. Olaf grads (wearing St. O. jackets) who were there the same time as Allen.

Time out for a café and pastel de nata, Lisbon’s egg custard tart. Serious yum!!

Back on board, we were able to introduce our Australian friends to each other. Donna from Brisbane, meet Paul from Sydney.
