Leslie and Peyton and Easter

Tom and Janet’s older daughter, Leslie, living in Orlando. She attended Rollins College there and settled in the area after. After worked in the Development Office at Rollins for years, Leslie is now the marketing director for BioClinica. She’s mom to Peyton Isobelle, who turned three in January. She and Peyton's dad are ending their marriage, sadly.

We were delighted to finally meet Peyton when she and Leslie came to Coral Gables for Easter weekend, and it was great fun to watch our friends in grandparent mode.

Tom and Janet are members of the Coral Gables Congregational Church, a dynamic, inclusive, community-centric congregation just across from the Biltmore Hotel. I really enjoy worshipping there when we’re in town, and Easter morning was no exception. Tom sings in the choir, so it was just us ladies in the pews. Fabulous music, choral and instrumental, prerequisite Easter brass, and mimosas outside after the service made for a wonderful morning.

One of Tom’s family tradition is to make an Easter Bunny cake.

We were the Plus 1s for Easter dinner at the home of Mike Ellingwood, a fellow architect and Tom and Janet’s friend, whom we’ve met at church and the local farmers’ market a number of times in the past.  A dozen guests, lots of lamb and wine and Tom’s Easter Bunny cake on a beautiful lake on a perfect afternoon.
